Born and raised in NYC, Grayce always had an eye for and an interest in the arts. Keenly fond of nature and animals, she made frequent visits to the Bronx Zoo, where she began photographing with a Brownie camera.
Throughout the years she used various cameras before discovering the thrill of digital. "I've never looked back!" she exclaims. Digital technology has given more control and she uses Photoshop to edit her work.
Still strongly interested in the natural world, Ms. Dillon takes great pleasure in documenting the creation, which she unabashedly attributes to God Almighty! Not limited to nature, she also has a keen eye for still life, and enjoys arranging and creating interesting still lifes from common objects.
Grayce has won many awards and prizes for her photographic images and digital art. Nikon has featured her on their website, and her works have been shown and published on websites, magazines, books, and calendars, including National Wildlife Magazine, BBC Wildlife Magazine, and one of her colorful images graces the cover of a widely distributed 8th grade math textbook. One photo of a frog, even made it to a giant screen on New York's Time Square!
Being an avid music lover she has also worked for a regional entertainment and arts periodical, covering concerts, and events, photographing celebrities including Kenny Rogers.
Grayce Pedulla Dillon loves to photograph a wide variety of subjects. Bird photography, insect photography, wildlife photography are all personal favorites, but she also loves plant and flower photography. In addition she captures the character when photographing people and pets. Her still life photography has been called "unique."
